Birdie and Oscar welcomed The Great Storytellers on August 20, 2026. Six beautiful kittens who are already showing so much of what we hoped this pairing would produce. The litter includes silver torties, two black smoke and white girls and one boy, and a black silver classic tabby with white boy, all named for authors whose stories have endured over time.
As beautiful as they are, it is still the temperament behind this pairing that excites us most. Both Birdie and Oscar are deeply affectionate, confident, and extraordinarily gentle, and we are loving the opportunity to watch their babies begin to become themselves.
The Great Storytellers are being considered for families already established on our current waitlist. We are not accepting new applications for this litter.
A beautiful new chapter for Maine Street Coons.
Cascademtn Winona of MaineStCoons—our beloved Noni—comes from a program I have admired for years. Pairing her with Oscar brings together the exceptional beauty and type of her Cascade Mountain heritage with the extraordinary temperament and substantial boning that have become hallmarks of our own lines.
We anticipate black silver and brown classic tabbies, with or without white, including the possibility of dramatic high-white kittens. More importantly, this pairing represents exactly how we hope to move our program forward: honoring what we have built while thoughtfully introducing qualities we have long admired.
The breeding was confirmed in mid-August. At this point, we "think" she has conceived but we will know more in a week or two.

A pairing imagined long before it became possible.
Delilah came to Maine Street Coons with Toby in mind, and few planned pairings have inspired more anticipation. Her rich color, beautiful head, and wild, unmistakable presence complement the substance, expression, and extraordinary temperament of our homebred International Winner.
We hope this pairing will bring together the very best of both cats in brown and red tabby boys and brown tabby and torbie girls, with or without white. Some may also inherit Toby’s naturally occurring polydactyl trait.
The breeding occurred in early September. We will know if kittens are on the way by the end of the month. If we are blessed, they would arrive in mid-November.

A silver pairing with power, balance, and beautiful possibility.
CiCi is an exquisite black silver mackerel torbie with emerald green eyes, a remarkably light silver coat, a powerful muzzle, and magnificent boning for a female. Rider is an exceptionally strong, long-bodied black silver classic tabby with white with an impressive head, excellent ear placement, and the substantial presence we love in our males.
We are especially excited about the potential for high-silver kittens from this pairing. Boys may be brown, black silver, or red silver tabbies, while girls may be be brown, black silver, torbies, or silver torbies--all with or without white. Beyond color, we hope to see the strength, structure, expression, and classic American Maine Coon type that made this pairing so appealing to us.
The first breeding occurred September 7, 2026. We will know if kittens are on the way by the end of the month. If we are blessed, these cuties will arrive in mid-November.

A pairing chosen with extraordinary intention.
Marigold joined Maine Street Coons with this future pairing in mind. A quintessential American Maine Coon, she brings timeless beauty, exceptional type, and a deeply affectionate temperament to our homebred International Winner, Toby.
Together, we hope they will unite beautiful expression, substantial structure, exceptional temperament, and the unmistakable Maine Coon presence we work so carefully to preserve. We anticipate brown classic tabby kittens, some with white and some inheriting Toby’s naturally occurring polydactyl trait.
