If your Maine Coon kitten unfortunately loses their life due to any of the covered genetic conditions (HCM, SMA, PKD, or PKdef), rest assured we will offer a no-cost replacement kitten. Your guarantee stays strong until your kitten's tenth birthday.
In addition, we offer a five-year covered conditions reimbursement guarantee. If your kitten requires surgical correction of entropion, hip dysplasia, or any congenital heart issue, we will reimburse you up to $500 for your out-of-pocket treatment costs, provided you have maintained an active pet insurance policy.
And for those initial days? We have a 72-hour treatable condition reimbursement policy that provides up to $200 in reimbursement coverage for out-of-pocket costs should your kitten develop any major health issues in the first few days with you, discovered by your veterinarian at their initial health exam.

There are no waiting periods, no exclusions for pre-existing conditions, and all genetic disorders are covered, too! Once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of all condition-related expenses, including prescription food. It's pretty amazing coverage, and we require our pet owners to maintain the policy for at least the first five years of their cat's life to avoid the early termination of life for financial reasons.
